Machine building of a wide variety of custom web handling machinery.  Assembling mechanical parts for web handling equipment per blueprints, tools, indicators, etc.  Electrical assembly per blueprints and capable of panel layout.  Layout pneumatic panel on machinery and run hoses in an aesthetically pleasing and functional way.  Be part of a growing team to help manufacture high quality O.E.M. machinery.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Check parts to blueprints for form fit and function

  • Deburr and mask parts for paint

  • Read blueprints and build per print

  • Mechanically assemble parts

  • Electrically, complete panel build to print 

  • Mark-up drawings and return to Engineers

  • Run electrical wires from control cabinet to desired area

  • Run pneumatic lines on the machine

  • Layout pneumatics and run hoses in an aesthetically pleasing and functional way 

  • Take pictures of your assembly and download into the project file

  • Abide by all safety standards

  • Keep all work areas clean and organized

  • Attend all safety and production training

  • Able to work overtime as required

  • Demonstrates responsibility by taking ownership of work

  • Complete the job with sound decision making and meeting deadlines

  • Strive for continuous improvement every day

  • Assure sufficient and accurate communication with team leaders and managers

Skills and Abilities:

  • Must have a positive, can-do, attitude

  • Capable of traveling up to 10 - 25%, depending on Sales volume

  • Check parts to blueprints for form fit and function

  • Significant hands-on experience working in a manufacturing environment

  • Safely use overhead cranes and forklifts

  • Solid math skills, including measuring

  • Able to read technical drawings and diagrammed instructions

  • Keen eye for detail

  • Hold self to a high standard of quality, taking pride in your work

  • Able to perform physically demanding work – standing, bending, lifting 25 lbs. regularly

  • Good written and oral communication skills

  • Working knowledge of machinery

  • Problem solving skills

  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Ability to work independently without supervision

  • Willingness to provide enthusiasm and creative solutions

  • Able to weld is a plus.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years related experience (assembly, fabrication, and machining) is required.

  • Associate’s degree is a plus.

  • Machining capabilities is a plus.

  • Experience and strong knowledge of:

    • Manufacturing

    • Machine assembly

    • Able to read detail drawings, assembly drawings and schematics (blueprints).

    • Capable of using all tools (Micrometers, calipers, electrical meters, etc.)
